Three primary failure modes have been identified by Maquet Cardiovascular: 1. Failure of the Heartstring Seal to Load. 2. Failure of the Heartstring Seal to Deploy into the aortotomy. 3. Failure of the deployed Heartstring Seal to provide adequate hemostasis.
