The affected products will not provide effective ventilation in Volume Control Ventilation (VCV) mode.

You can continue to use these Anesthesia systems by following the instructions in the "Actions to be taken by Customer/User" in the attachment. GE HealthCare will correct all devices that fail the Ventilation Screening Test. The GE HealthCare representative will contact you to arrange for the correction. Manufacturer action: Instructions and correction. Update Action: In the attached letter, the step No.5 has been updated to "Attach a reservoir bag to the wye connector of the anesthesia circuit"
